the border wall

This gallery comprises some of my favorite images of the border wall, or lack thereof, in the various places i’ve traveled throughout the course of this documentary.

there are also images of the border wall supplies that were left behind and unused in 2021 when the biden administration took over and changed significant portions of the immigration policy of the united states compared to the trump administration. changes which included ceasing all building of the wall between the united states and mexico.

so what does the wall look like? Truth be told it varies wildly from section to section, state to state. there are older shorter sections, taller more modern sections, and places where the wall just stops in the middle of nowhere.

there are areas where the wall has been cut, with the columns of the wall left open for migrant crossings. I’ve also witnessed and documented coyotes using the jack of a car (placed sideways) to spread the columns temporarily to allow coyotes to open the wall to pass people through.

there are areas where the wall scales steep mountains in what looks like a mark of engineering brilliance, and parts where the wall stops at a small hill, leaving an open gap where many migrants will cross over.
